When cooking with Lemon Thyme, you should strip the leaves from the stems because sometimes they can be woody and tough to chew, but for storage, keep the leaves on the stems to maintain freshness. Usage Ideas: Lemon Thyme pairs well with chicken and fish, so try this easy marinade: Combine 2 Tbsp chopped lemon thyme with 2 cloves chopped garlic, 1 Tbsp honey, ½ cup olive oil, salt, and pepper. Mix with 1 lb chicken breasts and marinate on the counter for up to 1 hour (if marinating longer, store in the refrigerator). Remove the chicken and bake in a 350 oven for 20-25 minutes, basting with the extra marinade throughout.
Add 2 Tbsp chopped Lemon Thyme to your favorite biscuit recipe and serve the baked biscuits warm with honey and butter for a sweet and savory side dish.
